I haven't even tried in so long to write a poem, of any sort. And a couple days ago, i decided to try- of course, i lost track of my thoughts halfway through and its overly dramatic. BUT, it is what it is. so help me!

this isnt right
thinking and breathing alone
my heart is a prison
It's inmates arent safe.
everything im leaving
screaming and calling my name
behind me
telling me why i should want
what i should need
how i should think
when i should breathe
pointlessly meandering through broken thoughts
and always coming to the same conclusions
different thoughts
exact same end
